FAQ

 

What are dates for the camp?

July 25, 26, 27, 28. Space is very limited this summer at Cal State San Bernardino. Additional sessions may be added but are subject to availability and scheduling at the University. 

 

How many days long is the camp?

The camp will be 4 days long starting on a Monday thru Thursday.

 

What are the hours of the camp?

The camp hours are from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Our scheduled program ends at 5pm. Kids will have free time in the computer lab from 5pm - 6pm while waiting for parents or guardians. Parents must pick up their children by 6pm.

 

Where is the camp being held?

Our summer camp is held at the California State University, San Bernardino campus (rooms to be determined). Please follow link for campus map.

What is the program fee to attend the camp?

The program fee is $599.99 per child. Early registration discount price is $499.99 before June 26, 2016. Sibling discount price is $399.99. Group discounts are available but subject to scheduling and computer lab access. Please call 909-475-7706 for group details.  

 

What is the age range to attend camp?

The camp is open to children in grades 3rd - 8th

 

How are the kids grouped together?

The kids are put on teams and grouped together by age and skill level. Kids with exceptional ability will be matched with kids with similar skills.

 

Will my child only take part in computer activities?

No. Our TechXploration camp will be filled with fun activities during our lunch break such as playing games, billiards, or Xbox and Playstation in the student gamers lounge.

 

Will lunch be provided?

No, lunch will not be provided. Kids should bring a lunch. The campus food court will NOT be open. Vending machines are available to purchase snacks.

 

My child loves Minecraft. Do we need a license to play at your camp?

Our campers will need the PC version of Minecraft in order to play on our private server and take part in our lessons. Minecraft versions for the Xbox or Pocket Edition are not compatible. You can purchase a license at https://minecraft.net/

Bring your login name and password information to camp.

 

My child has attended some of your other courses. Will they learn new material at your Summer Camp?

Yes, returning TechXplorers will be exposed to new and fun projects using some of our favorite platforms as well as introduction to exciting new software.

 

Have your instructors received a background check?

Yes. Our instructors receive a full background check and they are fingerprinted with the Department of Justice.
